MyETF Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia Titans 25, or MyETF-DJIM25 is the first Shariah Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) launched in Asia.

What exactly is an ETF? An ETF is essentially a unit trust fund that is listed and traded on a stock exchange and is designed to provide returns that closely correspond to the performance of a benchmark index – in this case, Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia Titans 25 Index .

An ETF provides investors, in a single transaction, a cost-efficient and convenient way to gain exposure to the basket of securities represented in the benchmark index.

Managed by i-VCAP Management Sdn. Bhd., the fund’s technical advisor is BNP Paribas Asset Management Sdn. Bhd., a member of the BNP Paribas Group which is one of the world’s largest ETF managers. The index provider is Dow Jones & Company, Inc., a leading provider of Shariah-compliant indices.

MyETF-DJIM25, in January 2009, received Honourable Mention in two categories, namely Equity Deal of the Year and Malaysia Deal of the Year, in conjunction with the Islamic Finance News Deals of the Year 2008 Awards.
